▎精油簡介

粉紅蓮花(Nelumbo nucifera)又叫做印度蓮花、神聖蓮花,或印度之豆。蓮科蓮屬,多年生草本出水植物,原產於古印度,後來從越南到阿富汗都有,一般分佈在中亞,西亞、北美,印度、中國、日本等亞熱帶及溫帶地區,有超過800個栽培品種。蓮花可以用種子或根莖繁殖,特別的是,其種子蓮子可以存活上千年。有科學家培育了一些有千年歷史的蓮子,繁殖出來的荷花依然生機盎然 。在中國的大連市普蘭店區曾出土過千年前的古蓮子。在中國鄭州大河村仰韶文化遺址中發現的兩枚古蓮子,有超過3000年歷史,但是過於珍貴,未進行栽培試驗。

蓮花喜好高熱高濕的環境,在溫帶分佈的品種於冬天時的泥土上常綠部位會枯萎,藕莖會膨大。而熱帶的品種多為常綠部位不枯萎,藕莖膨大不明顯。蓮花象徵耐心與和平。它生長在淤泥中,會在水面上開出碩大華美的花朵,伸展平寬的葉片,花朵可能是粉紅色、白色或藍色,花朵飄散出獨特的清香,在佛教文化中,也像徵著永生與超然。財富女神拉克須密被稱為「吉祥天女」,集財富、華麗、豐饒、繁衍、生命力等特質於一身,祂手持粉紅色蓮花,因此粉紅蓮花也像徵會帶來好運。。

蓮花原精需要陳放,才能凝煉出香氣,粉紅蓮花原精是一種深粉紅色的黏稠液體,香氣馥鬱清香和清甜,給人一種安詳典雅的感覺。
