原料介紹｜蜂香薄荷 (Monarda)

▎精油簡介

蜂香薄荷Monarda fistulosa，雖然叫做薄荷，但它與薄荷並不相同。原生產地為北美洲，是當地土著植物，多年生草本植物，喜愛陽光明媚、排水良好的土壤上生長。其葉具齒緣，葉節處略帶紅色，卵圓末端尖狀，春末時會開出艷麗如火焰般的紅花，吸引著蜂鳥與蝴蝶。

北美原住民會利用乾燥的葉片泡茶，飲用時會散發著甜美的芳香，用來治發熱、咳嗽及胃的問題，葉子還可以用在傷口、肌膚和呼吸道感染。主要成分為犛牛兒醇，具有強化肌膚的防禦力，15世紀左右輾轉被帶到西班牙，目前在歐洲多有栽種。

主要成分為犛牛牛兒醇(90~95%)，其他有沉香醇、大根老鸛草烯、月桂烯、橙花醛等微量成分。
