▎精油簡介

肉荳蔻(Myristica fragrans)生長在熱帶,是一種常綠植物,常見於南洋、澳大利亞和加勒比地區,樹高達20公尺,果實充滿肉體感,除了果肉可食用外,種子曬乾後是重要的香料,要刨磨成粉使用,精油也是從果實提煉。

肉荳蔻果實是常用的香料,肉荳蔻含有肉荳蔻醚,會產生興奮和幻覺。它是一種有毒物質,食用會使人產生幻覺,扭曲的時間和空間,超越實際的幸福的感覺。據報導,非洲土著非常愛把肉荳蔻果實,用於身體生病或精神痛苦,幫助很快進入美妙的夢,忘記自己的痛苦。不過如果過量,會讓人容易產生昏迷現象。肉荳蔻也廣泛應用於化妝品工業,如製造香皂、洗髮精和香水等。
