原料介紹｜肉豆蔻 (Nutmeg)

▎精油簡介

肉荳蔻(Myristica fragrans)生長在熱帶，是一種常綠植物，常見於南洋、澳大利亞和加勒比地區，樹高達20公尺，果實充滿肉體感，除了果肉可食用外，種子曬乾後是重要的香料，要刨磨成粉使用，精油也是從果實提煉。

肉荳蔻果實是常用的香料，肉荳蔻含有肉荳蔻醚，會產生興奮和幻覺。它是一種有毒物質，食用會使人產生幻覺，扭曲的時間和空間，超越實際的幸福的感覺。據報導，非洲土著非常愛把肉荳蔻果實，用於身體生病或精神痛苦，幫助很快進入美妙的夢，忘記自己的痛苦。不過如果過量，會讓人容易產生昏迷現象。肉荳蔻也廣泛應用於化妝品工業，如製造香皂、洗髮精和香水等。
