原料介紹｜紅花緬梔 (Frangipani)

▎精油簡介

紅花緬梔因其花瓣乳白似蛋白，而中心基部具有鮮明的黃色又如蛋黃，故稱「雞蛋花」，泰國人稱呼為Lilavadee，意思是形容優雅的姿態，同時代表獨有的內在；此外，紅花緬梔在2、3 月間全數葉片落盡時，光禿禿的粗肥綠色樹枝極像鹿角，因此別稱「鹿角樹」。緬梔最早被發現命名的原生種為紅色花品系，學名為P.rubra.。

其葉喜歡熱鬧，愛跟兄弟姊妹擠在一起，都長在枝條的頂端，站在樹下，可以看到清楚的枝條，枝條下端沒有葉的部分，明顯地留下落葉後的葉柄痕跡，就是「葉痕」。看它的葉子，葉脈非常明顯，排得整整齊齊，好像拿尺畫的一樣。花有香味，增加它成為庭園樹的魅力。全身汁液具毒性，白色乳汁有毒，誤食可能造成嘔吐、腹瀉、發燒、噁心、嘴唇紅腫、心跳加速。

｜主要成分：水楊酸卞酯

紅花緬梔的藥學屬性有較多的臨床報告及研究，它的成份複雜，其中的特殊酯類「水楊酸卞酯」和「苯甲酸芐酯」，約佔了50%，另外還有萜品醇、肉桂醛、乙酸沉香脂，香豆素等微量成分，能幫助放鬆。可提煉其香精供製造高級香水、化妝品及香皂。
