▎精油簡介

紅花緬梔因其花瓣乳白似蛋白,而中心基部具有鮮明的黃色又如蛋黃,故稱「雞蛋花」,泰國人稱呼為Lilavadee,意思是形容優雅的姿態,同時代表獨有的內在;此外,紅花緬梔在2、3 月間全數葉片落盡時,光禿禿的粗肥綠色樹枝極像鹿角,因此別稱「鹿角樹」。緬梔最早被發現命名的原生種為紅色花品系,學名為P.rubra.。

其葉喜歡熱鬧,愛跟兄弟姊妹擠在一起,都長在枝條的頂端,站在樹下,可以看到清楚的枝條,枝條下端沒有葉的部分,明顯地留下落葉後的葉柄痕跡,就是「葉痕」。看它的葉子,葉脈非常明顯,排得整整齊齊,好像拿尺畫的一樣。花有香味,增加它成為庭園樹的魅力。全身汁液具毒性,白色乳汁有毒,誤食可能造成嘔吐、腹瀉、發燒、噁心、嘴唇紅腫、心跳加速。

|主要成分:水楊酸卞酯

紅花緬梔的藥學屬性有較多的臨床報告及研究,它的成份複雜,其中的特殊酯類「水楊酸卞酯」和「苯甲酸芐酯」,約佔了50%,另外還有萜品醇、肉桂醛、乙酸沉香脂,香豆素等微量成分,能幫助放鬆。可提煉其香精供製造高級香水、化妝品及香皂。
