原料介紹｜貞潔樹果 (Vitex)

▎精油簡介

貞潔樹原生於地中海地區和西亞，目前在世界各地的亞熱帶地區有栽種，在春季或秋季播種生長，在秋季採收果實，高約3.5-4公尺，具有芳香性、茂盛的落葉灌木的外觀性狀，葉如紙質，葉緣羽狀，濃鬱的淡紫色至紅紫色的圓錐聚繖花序，倒卵形核果。

學名agnus 和castus指的是純潔或貞潔之意，別名聖潔莓，又名僧侶胡椒，雖名為僧侶胡椒，但卻無半點胡椒味。精油與純露都散著藥草，以及些微類似樟腦的微涼苦味與辛辣味。做為傳統草藥至少已有2000年歷史，自古即用在婦科治療。是馬鞭草科的一員，與普通馬鞭草以及檸檬馬鞭草是遠親。在希臘，丈夫在外徵戰的婦女也會吃貞潔樹果實或睡在鋪滿貞潔樹葉的床上以示守節。

成分為β-石竹烯、β-金合歡烯、α-蒎烯、檜烯、桉油烯醇、1.8-桉油醇會因產地不同而成分比例有所差異。
