原料介紹｜岩蘭草 (Vetiver)

▎精油簡介

岩蘭草源自於坦米爾語Vetiverr，以斧頭收割之意，葉片跟芒草有點類似，通常會由眾多葉片集結成一大株，岩蘭草莖葉直立，其下有分支眾多、柔軟彈韌的根莖，根部抓地力強，具有來自土壤的堅實穩固的力量，可作為水土保持的植物，被認為是“世界上具有長根系的草本植物”，深密的根部埋於地下可達3至4米長。

也正因此，岩蘭草精油的採集和提取過程非常複雜和耗時耗力。採集工人需要徒手挖掘在地下綿延的根系，並完整清洗它們，之後還要切成較短的長度後將它們在陰涼處乾燥1-2天，以使萃取出的精油更具濃郁香氣。

▎成分解析

｜主要成分：倍半萜醇

岩蘭草成分非常多元，主要成分為岩蘭草醇(vetiselinenol，50-75%)，其他還有倍半萜烯(beta-vetivenene、delta-selinene)，倍半萜酯，倍半萜酮(alpha-vetivone，beta-vetivone、khusimone)，酸等。其香氣來源主要受到α-、ß-岩蘭草酮和客烯酮影響，氣味被描述為一種甜的、木香和煙熏的香味。
