▎精油簡介
廣藿香名稱源自於坦米爾語，patchi表示「綠」，ilai則是「葉」，具有剛性的莖，草長約1公尺左右，並產生小而淺的粉紅色花朵。該植物原產於東南亞的熱帶地區，主要用在驅蟲的效用，後來當廣藿香傳至歐洲地區後，開始被運用於香水及紡織工業，現在在中國，印度，馬來西亞，印度尼西亞，菲律賓，台灣，泰國和越南已廣泛種植。
廣藿香精油的過程就像製作葡萄酒一般，先將葉子乾燥發酵後再進行蒸餾，經輕微發酵或乾燥葉子破碎，所以香氣會隨著時間變得更加濃鬱芳香，而且愈陳愈香。這樣的香氣特質，因為揮發的速度慢，所以成為製作香水時不可或缺的定香元素。廣藿香葉可以每年收穫幾次，當它們乾燥時，可以出口蒸餾。

主要成分為廣藿香醇(patehouli alcohol)，和α及ß -布藜烯(ß-bulnesene)，還有一些微量成分，如:癒創木烯、西車烯、綠花白千層等。
